2018 FEDEXCUP Champion Justin Rose Commits to Play in Wells Fargo Championship

2017 Masters champion Patrick Reed Coming to Charlotte

Charlotte, NC — April 23, 2019

Justin Rose, the No.2 ranked player in the world and the 2018 FedExCup Champion along with last year’s Masters Tournament winner Patrick Reed, committed today to play in Charlotte’s PGA TOUR event, scheduled for April 29-May 5 at Quail Hollow Club.

Rose, winner of nine career PGA TOUR titles, including the 2013 U.S. Open also won the gold medal at the Rio 2016 Olympic games. Reed, ranked 19th in the world, has won six times on the PGA TOUR, including his Masters Tournament victory a year ago. Rose will be making his eighth start in the Wells Fargo Championship and Reed his seventh.

With these two commitments, there are currently ten of the top 25 players in the world coming to Quail Hollow Club next week—No. 2 Justin Rose, No. 4 Rory McIlroy, No.5 Justin Thomas, No.10 Rickie Fowler, No.13 Paul Casey, No.14 Jason Day, No.19 Patrick Reed, No.20 Webb Simpson, No.23 Phil Mickelson and No.24 Gary Woodland.

Players have until Friday, April 26 at 5:00 p.m. Eastern time to commit to the Wells Fargo Championship and can withdraw from the tournament at any time.
