TEACH FOR AMERICA

Thank you to the wells fargo championship for its long term support to Charlotte Education

The Wells Fargo Championship is proud to support Teach For America-Charlotte and has selected it as the primary charitable recipient of the 2016 event.

Today, Teach For America is community of more than 50,000 corps members and alumni. Eighty-five percent work in roles impacting education or low-impact communities. Approximately 20,000 Teach For America alumni are continuing to teach beyond their initial two-year commitment.

For the 2015-2016 school year, nearly 200 corps members teach in 38 high-need schools throughout Charlotte-Mecklenburg impacting the educational outcomes of nearly 12,000 students. Every day, they work alongside parents, principals, fellow educators, and Teach For America alumni advocating inside and outside the classroom for equal educational opportunity.
