How do you keep your cool if you're on the PGA Tour? The answer is simple: plenty of refreshments.
It takes hundreds of people to make the Wells Fargo Championship run smoothly, and Art Jones is one of the volunteers on the Tournament Coolers Committee who plays an important role in making sure players, officials, and a host of Tournament volunteers have access to plenty of heat-relieving liquids.
Art will help place coolers at the back of every tee box and make sure they stay well-stocked, so caddies always know where to go to get their bosses a drink. Art says most players place a couple bottles in the bag, but caddies tend to drink more, since they carry the bag!
So why did Art decide to volunteer this year? "I spent a lot of time in the Marines, and many years in Aero Space as an engineer, but I never felt that I gave anything back to a community," he confesses. "This is one way to give back for everything I have received.
Thanks Art, for your service to our country, and to the 2004 Wells Fargo Championship!
