For the past six years, the Wells Fargo Championship has made an effort to recycle certain materials during Charlotte’s PGA TOUR event.
Thanks to the efforts of the fans attending, volunteers who gather the material, SynCot and ReCommunity-Mecklenburg County’s processing center, who has partnered with the tournament to help process the recyclable items, a total of 170 tons of aluminum, plastic, bunting, paper, and cardboard has been processed since 2008.
