  • How often do the tournament shuttles run?
    • The shuttles run about every 15 minutes. We have to wait until the buses are full to send back and forth to the course. Not too much of a wait time. We also show a tournament video on the shuttle ride over to the course- gives some details on weather, tournament policies etc.

  • Is there a pick-up and drop off area at the golf course?
    • The Wells Fargo Championship is excited to announce, that in response to patron requests, they will be providing a drop-off and pick-up lot on Gleneagles Road across from the main entrance into Quail Hollow Club for Uber, ride-sharing companies, Taxi’s and Limo’s.

      Patrons can arrange their own commercial for hire or ride-sharing vehicle for drop-off and pick-up during the week of the Championship.  This DOES NOT include personal vehicles and only commercial professional services will be allowed up Gleneagles Road to the assigned lot.  The commercial and ride-sharing services will be able to deliver and pick-up their clients on Gleneagles Road with close access and within walking distance to the Championship.  Patrons will enter through the convenient pedestrian gate nearby.


  • Who is the primary beneficiary of the Wells Fargo Championship?
    • The majority of the proceeds from the Championship will benefit the nationally known, educational foundation TEACH FOR AMERICA, a national corps of outstanding recent college graduates of all academic majors who commit two years to teach in under-served urban and rural public schools.

  • How much money has been donated to charity by the Wells Fargo Championship?
    • Charitable contributions have exceeded $18 million over the last 13 years.

  • What is the FedEx Cup?
    • The FedEx Cup is a PGA TOUR season-long points competition, sponsored by Federal Express.

  • Who are the amateurs or celebrities playing in the Pro-Am?
    • We do not list players committed to the Pro-Am prior to the tournament. Pro-Am Pairings and Tee Times for Monday will be posted on the website Sunday night around 10pm. We will post the PGA TOUR Professionals that are playing in Monday's Pro-Am on Saturday but amateurs are not paired until the night of the pairings party. (Same process for Wednesday's Pro-Am.) We will post the PGA TOUR Professionals playing in Wednesday's Pro-Am on Tuesday and the pairings will be posted at 10pm on Tuesday night. Celebrities that play in the Pro-Am are invited by our hospitality partners.

  • What is the ticket policy for children?
    • Children 12 and under are admitted free when accompanied by an adult ticket holder (one child per adult).

  • Where is Will Call located?
    • Proper photo ID is required to pick up tickets. Will Call will be available at the following locations:

  • Is a ticket required to attend the Sunrise service on Sunday?
    • Spectators must have a Sunday ticket or a Good Any One Day ticket in order to attend the Sunday Sunrise service.

  • Why does my ticket purchase charge appear on my credit card statement as "Champions for Education"?
    • Champions for Education is the non-profit host organization that manages and operates the Wells Fargo Championship.

  • How can I volunteer for the Wells Fargo Championship?
    • If you are interested in volunteering please visit the Volunteers portion of the Website, which will provide details on the application process.

  • How can I play in the Pro-Am?
    • Note: Monday Pro-Am spots are sold individually. Wednesday Pro-Am spots are only available through long-term corporate sponsorships.

  • What items are prohibited on the course?
    • For a full list of prohibited items, please visit the Policy and Etiquette portion of the Website.

  • Can I bring a bag chair to the tournament?
    • Yes, the folding chairs that come in bag sleeves are permitted but the bags they come in are not. Please leave the bag sleeve at home or in your car before boarding the shuttles.

  • What do I wear?
    • Be sure to check the weather forecast in order to determine your outfit for the day. Always bring a rain jacket or poncho and wear light colored and cool clothing on hot and mostly sunny days. Also, be sure to wear comfortable shoes, preferably with flat soles in order to avoid injury that may result due to uneven terrain (and yes, many do wear golf shoes). Don’t forget your sunscreen!

  • Can you tell me if there is a size limit on camera lenses for Monday-Wednesday practice and pro-am rounds?
    • Your camera lens must fit within our 6x6 security requirements. Security will have a 6x6 box that patrons can put their bags and or lens in to make sure they don't exceed the requirements. I would recommend taking your lens off your camera to place in the box when going through the security line.

  • Is there a place to check my tournament merchandise?
    • A Merchandise Check Stand, located outside the main merchandise tent at the Driving Range, is available for patrons to purchase merchandise and leave their items in a safe location while enjoying the tournament.

  • Is there a place to charge my cell phone at the course?
    • The Wells Fargo Championship and Verizon Wireless have partnered to provide convenient cell phone charging stations for our patrons and private hospitality guests throughout the golf course.

  • What is the Safe-Tee Kid Program?
    • All patrons wishing to tag their child with a friendly reminder in case they get separated or lost can do so at the Guest/Information Services Tent, located at the main entrance near the bus shuttle. To easily identify the child as a "Safe-Tee Kid," he/she will receive a brightly colored wristband labeled "Wells Fargo Championship Safe-Tee Kid."

      If a child is lost he/she should immediately locate an Event Ambassador dressed in a tournament uniform (tournament shirt with the Championship logo, beige pants/shorts, and an official credential), who will then accompany the child back to the Main Guest Services Tent, where the parent and child can be reunited.

  • Are strollers and diaper bags allowed if attending with a small child?
    • Children 12 and under are admitted free to the tournament when accompanied by a ticket holding adult. Please make sure to walk away from play if your child gets fussy as to not to disturb the golfers. We encourage parents with young children to bring umbrella strollers since they are easier to maneuver around the course. Diaper bags (including bottles, juice or snacks) are permitted but will be checked at security points for weapons and unauthorized objects.

  • What is the severe weather policy for the Wells Fargo Championship?
    • Pertinent weather information will be provided in the Daily Pairings Guide. In the event of thunderstorms, lightning, or other severe weather, "Weather Warning" information will be displayed on the electronic scoreboards around the golf course. When these warnings appear, spectators should take precautions and seek shelter, even before play is suspended. If the siren sounds suspending play, seek shelter immediately. The electronic scoreboards will keep spectators advised of the length of delay in play.

      In the event of severe weather and lightning, avoid the following areas:

      Tall or isolated trees or telephone poles
      Hilltops and other high places
      Open fields
      Golf carts
      Lakes and ponds
      Metal fences, barricades, etc.

  • How to apply for Media Credentials?
    • The Media Credential process for the 2016 tournament will begin in mid to late March. Please visit the Media Section for updates here: Wells Fargo Championship Media.

      Please note: Media credentials will be issued only to full-time personnel of recognized daily and local weekly newspapers, news services, publications that regularly cover golf, national radio and television networks, and local radio and television stations as space permits

  • I am disabled; will I have access to and the ability to move about at the tournament?
    • Handicapped parking will be provided by the tournament . Dedicated wheelchair-accessible buses will shuttle disabled persons and their guests to the tournament. Patrons must apply for access to the Handicapped Parking areas. Learn More
